[BUILD THREAD] YOKOMO BD7 - setting up the electronics

Poisoned by the guys running the Yokomo BD7 at Punggol Hardcourt and so.... bought this used few months back!  Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil  Twisted Evil

Finally found some time to set up the electronics...

The photos of the used chassis....

being a newbie.... it's my first time seeing the "screw on" shocks..... much easier to remove the shocks when required or during storage...

the steering....

the floating servo mount....

using a Blue Bird low profile servo for the steering...

gotta trim off part of the servo housing to get it fit onto the floating servo mount....

after trimming... it fits nicely...

the previous owner used a smaller spur.... i didn't have a suitable pinion... so i swapped back the stock spur gear that the seller included in the package...

swapping out the spur is rather easy.... not like swapping the spur on a crawler... which i initially thought.... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

servo installed.... using a Hobbyking brushless sensored ESC and 10.5T motor combo...

done!

and tested during a recent night RC meet.... Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
